The sounds only happen while you are spinning the reels. A bright noise, which did get a little repetitive as my session went on. One of the bonus games (Wishing well) is in-reel, with the two others being pick-em rounds which go to break out screens. These were not too frequent, though the wins were reasonably big when they did come around.
